I was born in Harare, Zimbabwe, and have always enjoyed messing about with paints and pencils. I remember proudly winning a colouring in competition at the age of 8, an early indication of where my talents lay!
I then spent many years in Cape Town, South Africa, where the breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife were a constant source of inspiration.
I am now happily residing in the south of England, where the gentle landscapes continue to inspire and enthuse me. I’ve always loved drawing and painting, animals and nature, and nothing makes me happier than fiddling around with sploshes of paint, or wielding a biro or pencil to capture a likeness, or an interesting landscape.
I work as a children’s book illustrator, portrait and landscape artist, and graphic designer, and I can pretty much draw anything, although I’d rather not draw cars and motorbikes (I’m too much of a girl!). I’m currently having fun doing paintings of sheep, mostly using photographs for inspiration that I’ve taken on my travels.
My portraits (mostly done from photographs) and landscapes are in private collections here in the UK, in South Africa, and in Canada. I’ve been featured in Cats’ Life magazine in South Africa, and interviewed by Spice4Life.
