I love drawing with a biro
Yes, really! I just play with the pen on the paper, and always enjoy the end results. Biro drawings have an energy and immediacy that’s very appealing. It can be tricky not being able to erase mistakes, as I can when using a pencil, but I drew in the back of my schoolbooks with a biro when I was a child and so grabbing a pen when I feel like drawing became a habit.
And from your point of view, if you have no time to wait for an oil painting, a biro (or pencil) drawing is much quicker for me to do than a painting, and far cheaper for you! The choice of paper colour is up to you, but I prefer to work on subtle, neutral shades, or pastel-coloured paper.
NOTE: For 2 subjects in a drawing or painting, the price increases by 75%; it won’t double. For extra subjects, add 50% each. But speak to me about this! We will work something out.
